Vulcans' Luckhardt still has passion for coaching
At the age of 65, California University coach John Luckhardt still has the passion and drive of a first year coach. As he began his ninth preseason with the Vulcans, he said, "This is my 48th college camp and I still get excited. I've been revved up to get down here."

NATURE'S CORNER
On Friday Aug. 20 at 6:45 a.m., I received a phone call from a representative of Dana Mining concerning a problem in Dunkard Creek. The problem occurred when the discharge from Steele Shaft was reduced to comply with total dissolved solids (TDS) regulations. Dana Mining was concerned for the safety of the stream's quality.
